For those of you thinking about commuting to the U of H using what remains of the 797 Greenline service ( Hatfield- London Baker St. & return) which has already been reduced to a skeleton service of one return journey morning and evening Mon-Fri think again- as from 03 Sept it will be cut completely. Students from central London will have to use a TfL bus and then connect with the UNO 614 /644 ( Queensbury -Barnet- Hatfield & return) or the UNO 615 ( Stanmore underground - Borehamwood- Hatfield & return), the latter itself because of HCC funding cuts for supported bus services ( i.e. those not run as stand alone commercially by the bus companies), having been reduced from half hourly/hourly all day to peak hours only Mon- Fridays.

Those who formerly used the 797 from/to Hitchin can use the reintroduced 635 ( Hitchin- Stevenage- Hatfield- Watford & return.)

Those from the Cockfosters locality or the Piccadilly Line can use the UNO 610 ( Enfield-( peak hours only) -Cockfosters- Potters Bar- Hatfield - Luton & return.

Further information on Sept`s changes can be found on the Hertfordshire County Council ( HCC )Intalink site www.intalink.org.uk UNO `s on site is www.unobus.info

Further info on bus services in particular from /to Hatfield rail station please see my article ( until recently a `sticky`) " Commuting To UH/Hatfield Station Upgrade/evening/Sunday Bus Cuts Since Aug 2015"( originally posted 16 Sept 2015 with updates, currently on page 6.
