GCSE English Language

In your opinion, how many rhetorical devices is it best to learn? 50, 20, 10?

I suspect that knowing many of them could help in analyzing poems and writing different texts.

At GCSE level you probably only need to know about 10.

What the poster below me said is also true. You could know them all, but if you don't know why they're being used it's quite pointless.

From what I can remember its far more important to explain their effects/purpose than to simply point them out.
