I am doing this as one of my 3 choices however i have never studied it at GCSE and im worried that i will struggle when it comes to coding. The course says they will use vb.net so should i start practicing on this or perhaps is there another way to be more prepared? thanks.

Talk to your teachers about whether you have the right background to take this on. If so then don't worry. Enjoy your summer and work hard once you start.

You'll find no problem at all. I have a couple of friends who did AS computer science in year 11 without doing GCSE and from whay I'be been told they didn't find any difficulties as long as they kept up with class work.

No I don't think it's necessary but it would definitely help to practice over summer
