So I'm trying to self-teach maths and further maths AS and A2. Does anyone have any tips on how to learn the material quickly and effectively? I don't usually make notes because it seems a waste of time and it's not active enough but I'm not sure how else to learn efficiently when it comes to maths.

Normal maths is pretty straight forward but I'm unsure how quickly you'd do with FM as that requires more exploration and deeper understanding. Just practice any question's you come across and perfect your approaches from the stuff you learn. An odd note here and there might be useful if you prefer a different approach than what the books show.

    Hi,
I haven't started doing A levels yet but I am also trying to self teach myself these subjects. I have found various techniques to be effective. Depending on the exam board you are doing you can find the text books online (If you are doing edexcel here are the books for core maths: http://www.examvault.net/edexcel.html
However i'm also finding it very helpful by looking at videos also found on the link above. These videos cover maths and further maths however only for edexcel.
    Hope this helps!
