I know it's called a 'sandwich year' but not all placements advertised are for a full 12 month position. Most I have seen state they will normally last for 10 months. I have seen a few undergraduate placements advertised as full time with pay on a 6 month contract and want to know if unis allow students to take a year out for a 6 month placement?

If this is part of your course then you should have someone who looks after these things and works out if they're suitable or not.
Have you ever experienced racism/sexism at uni?
