I'm slightly concerned because I only started practising for the UKCAT last week, and my test is 3rd August. I've done about 15 hours practise including today (26 July) but I'm worried I might have left it a bit last minute and am considering rebooking my test for September (I'm away for the rest of August and won't be able to practise properly during that time. ) I haven't done any timed practice yet, I've just been working through the 1000Qs book. I'm intending on starting timed practice on Thursday. However at the same time I don't want to peak too soon and I'd quite to get it out of the way!So have I left this too late? Or would it be safer to book in for September? Or am I on the right track for 3rd August? Thanks in advance best of luck to anyone taking theirs!

    Hi Isabelsloan

Do you feel confident about the test?

I would really advise doing a timed test to get an idea of where you are at and how well your prep so far has been going.

Ideally you would spend a few hours a day practising for your UKCAT in the weeks leading up to your test date. This could either be done as prep by yourself using the resources you have collected or as part of a course.

It is obviously important to give yourself the best chance possible of doing well and this really comes with spending enough time preparing, but only you know if you have done this.

You might like to read this blog post which gives tips on getting ready for the big day and see if that helps you to make a decision.

Do give me a shout if you have any questions.

Hope that has been some help.
