I'm currently completing a job application and am addressing each essential criteria, one of which is-

"Ability to understand and demonstrate commitment to the groups Equal Opportunities Policy and to ensure all activities are consistent with the Equal Opportunities Policy. This includes all staff activities and their interface with the general public."

I've no idea how to show I understand and demonstrate this without simply rephrasing the statement? I've completed a few applications recently which have a similar criteria and I've no idea how to approach it? Any advice would be much appreciated!

What's your understanding of the equality act, disabilities and reasonable adjustments like?
    I believe that's what it's asking in a way.

I had to address that on an application I completed a couple of months back. The advice I was given was to give an example of a time when I'd made sure to include everyone- I talked about how while at university I was on a society commitee, I was responsible for room bookings for society events- when doing so I made sure to choose a room which was wheelchair accessible and had a working hearing loop. I got the interview.
