well your list is pretty exhaustive, in particular

    Lawrence Of Arabia
    Apocalypse Now
The Good, The Bad and The Ugly
    Heat
    North By Northwest
    The Deer Hunter

which would really lend themselves to the big screen format. in addition (most importantly with a decent sound system!):

alien, metropolis (sound less important here haha), sin city, v for vendetta, the matrix, die hard and other special effects pioneers.

I wouldn't mind seeing Ichi the killer on the big screen or indeed visitor Q simply because you would get such atmosphere.

If you love cinema THAT much you can probably get your own cinema set up (in your house - i.e projector and sound system) for a few grand and have it as good as a cinema in some areas and better in others.

The cinema experience is a good one for soem films but I don't find it a necessity - its often ruined for me by other peopel in the cinema eating loudly or talking!

Lawrence of Arabia and Apocalypse Now are obvious ones. I'll probably get a decent home cinema setup at some point, which if done properly can be nearly as good.

As weird as it sounds, I'd like to have seen Watership Down in the cinema. My Mum did when she was young, but I reckon it would be great on the big screen.
