I'm 17 and I want to have more close guy friends, but I'm not old enough to go to bars or anything. I go to a mixed school but there's only a few boys in my year and I've met their friends and stuff, I would go to parties but no one in my year holds them and I know a few people who go to parties frequently but I'm not close enough with them to ask them if I can go.

I would say , you could try to be upfront and just ask , just try and go out as much with people and their friend they know and try and get together in social gatherings because this will really help , to make you try and meet guys.

Go to every social event you can, be it parties, social gatherings, etc,

Go out as much as you can, you could join clubs of interest.

Maximise your opportunities by going out as much as you can.

    Good Luck!

No-one in your year holds parties? WHAT KIND OF SCHOOL DO YOU GO TO! even then.... at those parties it would be mostly people you'd know.

Maybe join some clubs where it is well know there is a good mix of genders. For example a guy joining a miniature gaming club wouldn't meet many women, a woman joining a yoga club wouldn't meet many men. Mountain climbing, cycling etc etc would be much better.
