As an Imperial student (a Caucasian one though), I can confirm this is very true. 65% of the Maths department came from China, and there are two Chinese student societies, both of which are enormous.

I'm 6'4", so I was put right off applying for accommodation if I could help it, and hence, I'm living at home. But trust me, I'm not just saying that because I'm tall; the bed was small even by my standards! I hope for your sake that you're under 5 foot! :P

And well, there are options other than baked beans. But they do seem to love 'em there.
The bacon there is delicious, though, so do have plenty of that!

but my accommodation was for a 3/4 bed and I've looked at pictures and it seems like a decent size whereas the normal rooms do have the tiny beds so i shouldn't have that issue ha
