Just wondering if anyone here has gone to GCU to do one of the biological science courses and stayed on for 4th year. We've been told we have to attend a workshop during freshers week or we can't graduate til next November instead of July. We've not been told anything about it though. Anyone know how long it is and what it involves? Is it just a day or the whole week? Is it the same as usual in that it's just a workshop telling you how to reference 'properly', write your honours project 'properly', etc?

If you've been asked to attend a workshop then attend. What's the problem? We don't run things for the sake of them. We usually have plenty else to do. We only run stuff when students have asked for it or generally find it useful. You'd be surprised at how many people can't reference or write properly even at masters level.
Do you think parents should charge rent?
