30% of toy adverts are directed at adults and 70% are directed at children. The chance an adult will buy the toy on seeing the advert is 5%, while the chance children will persuade their parents to get the toy bought for them when they see the advert is 1%. What is the chance a toy will be purchased if someone in the family sees the advert? What percentage of toy purchases are due to adverts directed at children?
