I applied on some job websites for advertising posts, even though i have no experience and little interest in this line of work. I got about three calls, but i didn't chase any of them. I also got a call from China for tefl which i got excited about, but finally decided against. Now i have lined up a teaching masters, and am even still hoping to do a doctorate level qualification assuming i pass this. But the big question then is, what next? What can i get a job in, or do i have to rely on the small feeds my wife contributes to the monthly income, for the rest of my days? My days!

Lack of experience is a problem and little interest in the work will come across in your application and dealings with the company. Not chasing things up is also a problem. It sounds like you need to think about what you want to do, what skills you already have, what you enjoy and what you need to do to get to where you want. Just collecting degrees is not going to get you anywhere.
