Okay, so i applied to this job about 3-5 days ago for Starbucks at my local train station. I missed their call but called them back saying I'm interested. They asked me whether I am looking for part time or full time. I replied saying since it's the summer I am happy to work full time but if possible to transfer to part time when I go back to college since i am still in education. I then told them my availability during college and the lady on the phone replied saying " okay we going to look through your CV and we'll call you back for an interview".

But surely she would of looked at my cv beforehand ?

It's been 7 hours now since that call and it's been on my mind since. It is getting me really anxious and got me thinking that that was just a way of saying no to me.

I've applied to so many jobs for the past 9 months now and haven't heard back from any others but this one. So this is the reason why i am get all worked up over it.

I'm pretty desperate for a job an I really want this. So what i am debating with myself is whether or not to call them back and basically ask what's up?

What do you guys think? Should I wait it out or call them

7 hours isn't a very long time. I don't think she meant 'we'll all get together right this second and analyse your CV and immediately give you a call back', so don't worry! Usually I'd expect to get a call after a few days, so if you haven't heard by now then by all means call them back and ask if there's any news about your application and if they need and further information etc etc. Good luck!
