My boyfriend and I are going to London in about 2 weeks. What's the cheapest way to travel which includes buses and tubes?

    Thanks

It depends how much travelling you do. Sometimes, you can walk from place to place, depending where you're travelling to and from.

An oyster or travelcard is the cheapest way. If you have a contactless debit card, you can use that. You pay the same fare as you do with an oyster card.

Thank you! Do you know how much each fare costs in that case? If we did use contactless?

You can look on the tfl single fare finder on the tfl website if you know the stations you'd be going to

I would say travelling by bus and train is ideal but up to you. Oh here's a tip, if you plan on travelling by more than 2 buses a day, make sure you top up for a one day bus travel (costs £4.50)

Fares vary according to whether you are travelling at peak time (before 9:30am and between 4-7) or off peak and also how many zones you travel across.
