Hello I just got my payment schedule letter from SLC today. I got the minimum £4750 loan and my first payment date is 05-Sep-2016, it's a double payment £864 but I also have another payment from SLC on the 07-Sep-2016 for £432.

I know the norm is to get a double payment but three in the space of two days? I thought they might be giving me October payment early but I also have a payment in October and every month that follows? Is anyone else the same?

Yes this is normal SAAS and SLC will always pay you on the 7th. So you'll get this triple payment in September and then get your normal payment every 7th of the month

I think it more depends on your institution, return/start date or loan amount (I'm unsure)... For example, I'm paid double on the 12th of Sept and not again until the 7th of October.

Perhaps if your double payment falls before the 7th, you get a payment on the 7th too. If it falls after the 7th, you wait until the following month.

at least you got a SLC payment schedule...
got the one from SAAS which also gave the total loan amount but so far no loan payment schedule.
How do they expect one to plan ahead not knowing which amount will when be paid?
Nobody wants to just travel to EDI (in my case from a remote island) and camp at the railway station until money for accommodation deposit is available.
Had to ask parents for help.
Tried to ring SLC today and they said I need to ask SAAS. On the last SAAS letter it says to contact SLC if any information about the loan schedule was needed.

So I still have no idea how much will be paid when. Monthly instalments, per term or any other crazy idea.
