My main source is HIFI seperates (my setup is called Smith, named after the Band)

Marantz CD6000 OSE LE CD player
    Marantz PM6010OSE amplifer
Project Debut MKII turntable with Ortofon OM10 cartridge
Rotel RC870BX as the preamp for the turntable
Sony STE300 tuner (hardly ever used)
Philips HP890 headphones (bloody brilliant if a little bit big)
    Eltax Monitor III speakers
    Decent quality cables.

    Portable:
    Panasonic personal CD player
MP3 compatable PDA with a 64MB storage card
    Senhieser MX400 headphones

You don't have to post this much detail if you don't know.

I am more interested in the source than the output medium. If you use headphones you still have to use one of the above.

I use headphones more than my speakers (much more) but I still play my music in HIFI seperates.

No, my CD player doesn't seem to fit into any category. It's not separates, but it's not mini/midi etc

Mainly on computer (mp3) but hopefully I'll have an mp3 player soon, partly because they also can be used as USB devices which would kill two birds with one stone for me.

I don't know what you'd call it, but it is quite good. I like it anyway

I use my laptop, my mini hi-fi thing, portable cd player or mini-disk player.

I think the mini disk was actually more expensive than the hi-fi

I mostly play it on my Creative NX Xtra 20GB MP3 Player, or on my computer, or on my Stereo, which I must confess, I don't know the name of.
