I'm 28, and have always regret that I never went to university. So I've decided to register with the OU and do my degree alongside my full time job.

I tried to register last night but was told I had to ring up and register on the phone. Which I did this morning, but was told there's a 'fee marker' on my account and I need to call another number first thing on Monday.

I realise it's quite late, but hopefully I can still get in and can get the finance sorted.

I have some modules in mind that I'd like to study but it says the full list is available once you register. Does anyone happen to have the full list that I can take a look at?

Also a question for those who have done an open degree, when asked what you have a degree in what reply do you give? Open can be bits of everything so do you just round it up and say mostly science or?

Once I'm registered, do I then apply for student funding before I pick my modules? Not quite sure what order it goes in

Yay you! I hope you really enjoy it. That weirdness happens to pretty much everyone when they first register; it should get sorted easily enough.

Just to add to Persipan's list, if you want to do an Open degree you can transfer up to 120 ECTS credits (240 OU credits) from other universities. There are some universities (notably in Sweden) which offer free credit-bearing modules taught in English online. I've put together a list here: http://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/show....php?t=4155525

I only mention them because it is a great way to save some money.

That's so cool, what a great idea!

Sadly, I'll have to pass on it. I'm already finding it confusing enough working out how to do this one, let alone applying somewhere else to do that one first, however you go about transferring credits, plus the funding! Too much for my little brain

Has any one done this module before? Is it possible to complete this while working full time? I’d appreciate support from someone who has done EK313 beforeThanks J
