I currently work at primark and my hours are 230-630 on a Saturday and 1-5 on Sunday. I have been working there for about 3 months now and would like to change my hours. This is my first ever job so I'm not sure how to do this or how it works. I'd like both shifts to be changed to 9-1 and if that's not possible then for just the Saturday hours to be changed, or for all 8 hours to be moved to the Sunday. Do I talk to my supervisor, manager or HR?

I was wondering if anyone who has had experience in changing their shifts at work knew how long this will take or how easy it will be for me to change my hours? I'll still be able to do overtime on most Saturday afternoons, it's just I need to change to the morning shift due to travel arrangements.

Any help will be much appreciated thank you.

Does your contract state anything about flexible working or how changes to hours can be made in general?

At my store you need to have worked there for at least a year before you get hours changed,

Also keep in mind an 8 hour shift isn't an 8 hour shift...it's 9 and a half hours (But you don't get paid an hour and a half worth of breaks)

I mean i Guess speak to HR but i know in my store it's at least a year

Speak to your manager. I am sure something can be sorted out.*
