    Hi,
Does anyone know any good books to read regarding vet med to read before I start my application for sept 2016? Thanks!

Check out the stickies at the top of the vet med page...
Lots of good blogs listed here, by LTC:

As for books, I liked this one, https://www.amazon.co.uk/Getting-Vet.../dp/190604192X
For a general overview of applying and specific PS etc.
"Gettin Your Foot In The Door" is also good but wasn't as useful for me.
These books are both about applyin and such like but the first book does have a section on current issues.
I'd read these prior to applying and then research specific issues online after/during

If you want to read some Medical Journals check out http://www.la-press.com/
(I'm not sure if this site has any vet med stuff though)

EDIT: There are some articles although the topics they discuss and the language... :afraid:

A helpful post from Treen there

Aside from those mentioned, some books to look at off the top of my head:

    Spillover by David Quammen
The Pathological Protein by Philip Yam
    Deadly Feasts
    Zoobiquity by someone Horowitz
    Farmaggedon
    The Scalpel and the Butterfly

That should get you started. Have a look in the science/bio/nature section of your library if nothing there floats your boat.

Had some decent reviews in veterinary press recently and having flicked through it, seems pretty well rounded and useful.*

Yep, as LTC says, Zoobiquity (Barbara Horowitz) is really good - I'm reading it right now
