Hello, I have recently decided to attend University in England next year. I wanted to find out if I'm eligible for a student loan. My parents are Chinese but I was born in Italy and I'll get the Italian citizenship soon. According to the Italian law I'm actually Italian because I was born here. So, am I eligible for a student loan? And I also wanted to know how can I repay it and how is the interest calculated. Thank you!

    Hi

You will be eligible to apply for a Tuition Fee Loan only.

When you graduate your loans will enter repayment . We work with HMRC to collect these repayments if your are employed in the UK . If you are overseas you will complete an Overseas Assessment form and we will calculate if you should be making repayments and you will make these repayments by other payment methods which can be found on our website www.studentloanrepayment.co.uk.

Interest accrues from when the first installment is paid. It is calculated on a daily basis and applied monthly to your balance. Details of the current interest can also be found on the above website.

    Thanks
