    So applied for an 18+ oyster ending 2017. I found later that I got a placement which means I will graduate 2018. Been too busy to care about its status and extending it.

    I called them and they said not to worry because I'm already on the placement and already have the card so I need not apply for the 'placement' card.

    But their website suggests that you must be on a 'mandatory' work placement. Mine is not mandatory. I chose to go on one despite not having to as part of my course (it is an optional choice).

    Bit confused as to what is the reality now?

    Your best bet is to contact them directly, and explain what you're read in comparison to what your situation is. If you've already done this and they've said it's fine, then I don't think you have anything to worry about :cute:
