Hi all. I had an interview with Brunel Uni last week. I am interested in PGCE Biology My presentation and interview went better than expected but I goofed up on Physics portion of content test. I am a Biology major with a basic knowledge of Chemistry. I did not revise for Physics. I left the whole section blank. Now in spite of doing well in other areas would I be judged solely on my Physics?

No, you wouldn't be judged solely on your performance in a single section of a test. Nationally, recruitment for Biology is extremely difficult and, as Brunel is still recruiting at this stage, they are clearly experiencing this difficulty. If you have demonstrated that you are otherwise a good candidate, your performance the test is very unlikely to be a significant concern, particularly if you have nonetheless demonstrated good subject knowledge in your specialism. If you get onto the course, you will of course be expected to brush up on your knowledge of physics because, although the course specialism is in Biology, you will be teaching all the sciences and therefore need to have solid knowledge of secondary-level physics. Best of luck!
