    Neither of my parents went to university (or college for that matter), so I guess I'm the first in that respect. But people in my wider family have already been to uni or are there now

    Yeah and now I set the benchmark for my cousins. I feel sorry for them as their Asian parents are gonna compare them to me and make them study harder :mmm:

    Yeah, no one in my family went to uni. This seemed quite unusual at uni - most people I knew had parents or older siblings that went to university. Also, younger siblings and cousins of mine haven't gone to uni.

    Sort of. My dad didn't go and my mom didn't do it the conventional way... She studied as a nurse and then managed to earn a double masters degree and was studying for her doctorate when she died, all while working full time and raising me. Even though got a degree she didn't really go to university in the typical way, so I didn't really know about league tables, prestige and stuff like that the first time around. They were just happy I went at all.

    First grad, lowest earner :s I head back to uni this year at 29 and I won't be earning again until I'm 33. I will have loooads of letters after my name though... go me.
