Selfridges Has Opened Their Christmas Department In August!

Wow, with still 145 days to go until Christmas, is this far too early or a welcomed extra early Christmas shopping chance? :santa2: I've been to all year round Christmas shops, but is Selfridges opening their Christmas department a tad premature? :sly:

I know someone who will be happy... shadowdweller :mmm:

It'd be far too early for Tesco to open their xmas department but I can see the logic behind flagship London stores opening their sections earlier.
For many people a trip to London is something that is only affordable occasionally so for some August may actually be their last chance to visit before christmas.

Would hate to be one of the assistants they have working in there right now. The amount of times they'll be asked why, only response would be like 'idk lol'.

    Nein. Nein. Nein! :fuhrer:

Sigh. This is why I hate Christmas and Easter and Hallowe'en or any kind of public celebration or holiday; society has become utterly comercialised and the actual meaning attached to Christmas and Easter is floating further and further away.

    Omg

This would honestly make my day if a shop done this in my town right now! Especially the garden centres, they always look beautiful with their Christmas decorations

Yip, I'm one of those annoying people that would celebrate Christmas all year round

If this means I can buy egg nog from Selfridges again now, then there's no such thing as them opening the Christmas Department prematurely.
