Spanish personal statement

I'm interested in applying to do Spanish at university, but have no clue what to put in my personal statement - help?!
Why are you interested in studying Spanish? That needs to be the focus of the personal statement. What have you done to demonstrate that interest eg: reading and research outside of the school syllabus. If your other subjects are linked to Spanish you could mention them too. A paragraph on extracurricular activities like hobbies, sport, part time job ect. can show transferable skills. Mostly you just want to get across a genuine interest that makes people at the uni think you're prepared to put the work in.

You need to show: (a) your interest in studying the language and (omitted in the first reply here) (b) your ability and potential to study it successfully as an undergraduate. See my profile and take a look at the TSR wiki on the subject.
