I recently got a job offer for a company in Newcastle that I simply couldn't turn down and am now faced with the concept of moving there. I've always lived in the South (specifically around London) and I've never even been further North than Cambridge before.

I'm kind of nervous about how different the city is going to be to London and I've done my research, but websites tend to be rather biased and go out of their way to overly glamourise everything.

Any people here that have lived or visited both places? Can you give me a more realistic idea of what to expect and/or the differences?
