I'm about to start a new contract but I was hoping somebody could tell me what the coverage is like for Vodafone at Lancaster? In particular in Bowland and Furness but any info would be appreciated - thanks

    Hi!

I lived in Bowland Hall this year and used Vodafone and found that I had signal most of the time. Signal on campus can be a bit patchy for all companies though I think. Sometimes I wouldn't get it in certain parts of the library (funnily enough often in the designated 'phone rooms' where you're supposed to take your calls. But my friend with another company also had this issue.)

Sometimes I had to move to a different part of my room too as the call was a bit fuzzy (sometimes stand up rather than sit down), but I had few problems.

Often when I didn't have signal at all I only needed to restart my phone and it would come back, whether this is something unique to my phone or something to do with Vodafone I don't know, but it's something to think about trying if you ever do experience problems.

Overall, I think my experience with phone signal was good, especially compared to some people who very rarely managed to get it anywhere on campus (luckily they didn't live there).

Maybe there will be some other answers who had perfect signal all the time so it could be worth considering their company, but I'd say you're good to come to campus with Vodafone

Please do note get Vodafone, coverage is terrible at the University. Especially at Bowland.
