Looking at the grade entry requirements for most unis, it's made me think history is a pretty competitive course.

Particularly for Birmingham, Bristol and Exeter, how competitive is it to get into a history course?

    Have a look at Which?

Of those three even the most competitive makes offers to 75% of applicants.

Whether those applicants then chose Bristol as their first choice and get the grades is a different matter but if you have predictions in the range of the typical offers then you should get offers from most of your choices.
