In September I will be doing maths AS level and I just wanted to ask if there is a lot of use out of making notes in maths, or is it better to just pay full attention and then do practice questions?

I had a separate notepad to make a step by step tutorial to answer each different type of question, it helped a lot.

Personally, i don't really do notes for maths because i found it is a waste of my times. I think for maths you have to practice a lot of Qs. However, before the exam i've listed all the formula i have to know and have listed my weaknesses and strengths. Also, before the exams i went over all the types of questions in the syllabus and did a lot of Qs in my weakness area.

In my own opinion, for the core modules it will not help you as much anf will be unproductive. Its much better to note down as many exanples as you can and write mini notes around it to explain the steps to take. There are many Maths notes you can find online.

Also, I would recommend using ExamSolutions
