EE question similar to one in the guide

My extended essay question is:

How do differences in development in constituencies in the North West Region of the Uk show the core and periphery model

But I've recently found out that there is a very similar question presented in the IB guide for Geography Extended Essay that is something like 'To what extent dose regional development in Vietnam reflect the core and periphery model'.

Gutted about this because I'm super happy with the question I have and have spent a large amount of time researching and preparing data already.

Will I potentially lose marks on my EE for them claiming it to be an unoriginal investigation?

Any advice is greatly appreciated
