Can anyone recommend me a new PAYG phone? My mum is buying it for me for Xmas and said £100 max. I like Sony Ericssons, and currently have a K800i (which is awful and bulky).

I am male, and like my phones to look stylish so I am not embarrassed to use it in front of people lol. It needs a camera and video camera. Basically, it needs the things the K800i has, no less.

samsung g600 is a brilliant phone. It has 5 megapixel camera, looks stylish...only thing it lacks is 3G and it's like a yr and half old. You could get it for 100 quid probs.

edit: carphone warehouse and dial a phone are doing the g600 for 78 quid!

Great post - very informative! This site is great for contract and pay as you go deals http://www.top10.co.uk/mobilephones - I got fixed up with a lovely shiny new Nokia Prism phone :-)

my contract im keeping, but i want a pretty damn good touch screen phone?
anyone recommend a decent one?
im looking at the lg viewty smart, (iv got the lg viewty currently) as its due out in may sometime, what do people reckon to it?

If you're loking for a great touchscreen, the best ones on the market are HTCs - like the HTC Touch Diamond and HTC Magic! By far the nicest looking and best-functioning ones around at the moment...

Sorry for asking probably a stupid question. I know absolute nothing about these free phone stuff so would appreciate some answer. Please bear with me.

On this website, it says:
Combi £20 18 months
Includes monthly 200 minutes Anytime Any network & 200 texts Anytime Any network

And all I have to do is pay £20 monthly for 18 months and I get to get a Nokia 5800 absolutely free? No other string attached? Or am I missing something? Is this considered a good deal?

Much appreciated.

I'm looking for a new phone.

My mum has said that I can have an iphone for my birthday. But I'm not totally convinced that I want one. Can somebody suggest a rival to the iphone other than the nokia n97?

Thanks

and the camera is slow as hell. Is a fairly decent phone though. Has lasted me 18 months before I wanted a new one (which I now have).

Samsung Omina HD
HTC Diamond Series / Magic / Hero
Some of the LGs
Sony Ericsson Satio (Coming Soon)
Toshiba's G01 (you can put HD movies on this and watch on TV via HDMI)

There's soooo many alternatives now and coming soon it's nuts. The Toshiba is interesting as it's using a real nice new chipset, but the UI looks a bit rubbish. I'd like a HTC with the Qualcomm or nVidia chipsets running the Android OS! :yep:

Looking to switch up phones. I've currently got on O2 Ice and...not the best, but pretty nice.

I'm currently looking at the Samsung M3200, can anyone tell me if it's as good as it seems. It looks great for the music. My only main product is that it's not 3G.

I'm also on O2 Text Anyime, but what's the deal with Unlimited, is it any good?

Can anybody recommend me a decent camera phone on pay as you go (pref 02)?

Cheers

I prefer Pay as You Go to monthly contracts since I don't use my phone that much.
I switched from O2 to Asda Mobile. Calls cost 8p/min and texts 4p to any network. Suits me just fine.
Hey, I'm looking for a new PAYG phone on Vodafone (only network I can really get signal with at home) for under 50 quid. Nothing fancy, all I want is to be able to text and phone and for it to have a decent battery life. I've seen a few about, but I just wanted to know if anyone here could recommend one?
I'm looking to get a new phone as my phone has prettty much died. (I've been stuck with an LG Chocolate thing for about 2 years now) So its definitely time for an upgrade.

I've been looking at the Nokia 5800 and it looks ideal, but I'm confused about the internet on it and things. What is the phone itself like? Does it have apps and things to download? This offer from virgin looks good, but I've always been on orange. How is virgin, are there any perks, or shall i just keep my old phone for orange wednesdays?

Currently I'm on PAYG but I think a contract would be better for me as it is easier for me now. I do a lot of texting, but I'm confused as to how the internet works. It says either unlimited or 30p a day but you then pay if you download stuff? Is there a difference between web access and web data?

Sorry to be a bit of a phone noob. Thanks for any help.
