Im currently deciding my options for clearing this year, and i have a choice of waiting for my GCSE results and applying to do adult nursing at Derby or doing the above course with the foundation year. I have 4 children one which is only 16 weeks and i wish to study child nursing in the future but im unsure which route to take.
This course sounds amazing but means studying for 7 years total, whereas Nursing will take 6 years, but is full time from the get go.
Has anyone done this course? If so is it relevant to the area you wish to work in? And what were the hours like per week? (worried about the little one and childcare)

    Thanks

Sorry that you didn't get a reply to this post. What did you decide in the end? I have just finished first year, lectures in department last year were generally between 10am and 3pm.
There are currently students wanting to go onto nursing, as well as quite a few parents also.
