Did anyone witness the French gymnast break his leg?

It really shocked me. I've never seen anything like it, I hope he heals well.

Omgsh that's horrific. Was it shown on BBC sports online? It wasn't on BBC 1.

It's unfortunately not uncommon in men's gymnastics.
GB's own Brinn Bevan did something similar at the start of the year and amazingly is competing in Rio.

"slightly" off topic - how about the Dutch cyclist that crashed? BBC have been clever not showing the full scene as it happened, and I haven't been able to find it online either

Poor *******, i'd be very surprised if that doesn't end his career. not to mention the EMTs dropped him when putting him in the wagon
.
I have seen some rather abhorrant comments floating around of people thinking it a jolly good laugh what happened, pigs.

Nope, the injury didn't end his career. He's already spoken in a video that he'll be training for Tokyo 2020.

I'd have thought he was merely putting on a brave face, a break like that will take a long time to heal and how well it heals is rather varied but hey if he can play again props to him

Speaking of horrific injuries, did anyone see the Armenian man **** his elbow up in the 77kg weightlifting. Thankfully they didn't show a replay because I don't think I want to see it again.
