Hey, this is my first post on here (also the reason I made my account but hey-ho) so hopefully it doesn't come across as too winny or dicky but I feel I've kind of dug myself into a hole.
Right okay so I'm turning 18 in a couple days and decided to setup a joint birthday party with my friend who is also turning 18 around the same date, we decided on buying a huge 6 man tent for it. I said I would buy it if he and my other friends who are involved all payed my back over a period of time, it has been 3 months and I haven't gotten a penny from any of them. This is where it gets a bit complicated (and the reason I'm stuck), I want to chase them up about it but all 4 of them have semi reasonable excuses for not having money to give me, two are currently looking for jobs (have been for the past 3 months but that's besides the point), one has just moved out and the other makes minimum wage and hardly had any money in the first place. Since I'm kind of a shy person I don't want to ask any of them for the money because of these reasons but at the same time I feel slightly used, especially because they are expecting me to buy all the drink for the party as well. I said I wasn't too happy about this but as always they said they have no money right now. The party has to happen at this stage because we have about 30 people excited and coming to it, but I know that all of this is going to bleed all the money I have away. I want to make memories with me and my friends but I feel they should have to contribute.
