Hello all, I have secured a place on an access course this September,on the Science Pathway. I am excited to return to education after a few years out, and am looking for advice regarding my options upon completion. I attended college when I was a teenager, and was on track for high grades, however I was forced to drop out due to a series of unfortunate events. After doing some reading, I was surprised to learn that both Oxford and Cambridge accept access courses, subject to certain other criteria being met. It would be tremendously helpful to hear from anyone who has had success in this regard, and to get some perspective on what I will face during the application process. I should stress that I am willing to do whatever it takes to achieve this goal, and any questions are welcome. I would love to speak to someone on a one-to-one basis if possible, as I am wary of posting too much personal information here.
    Thankyou for reading

I'm not sure what you're asking - or do you want people to ask you questions? Yes, Oxford, Cambridge and many other top universities accept Access courses. What subject do you want to study at university?

There are quite a lot of past and present Access students in the Mature Students forum, some of them have got into Oxbridge. You might also be interested in this thread (the OP is a Cambridge tutor at one of the mature colleges, she answers questions from mature students who want to apply to Cambridge): http://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/show...878031&page=64
