    ^Read this and understand it Shane_Filan. If we were governed by England (though it wouldn't have happened), we'd have revolted by now. We managed to get our own parliament so we govern ourselves.

    by "Britian" which is mostly england - u cannot deny westminster is an english institution expanded to govern u and the other little places we conquered?
    England did not "conquer" Scotland, the two nations united.

    and who came off better?

    it was a practical conquership - england was and is by far the dominant partner
    It was not a "conquership" (nice word by the way. What language is that from?). Scotland and England (and Wales) were joined by the Act of Union. The King of Scotland was the closest relative to the Queen of England, so when she died, he became King of both countries.

    but it waznt exactly equal woz it?
    Well you clearly don't know anything about the issue, as you though Scotland became part of the UK through an invasion, so I don't see how you are qualified to argue over the details of the act.

    lol, keep thinkin it - scotland may become a worthwhile country thru belief only!

    lol, disillusioned and misguided lol
    {barely restrains the urge to burst into Flower of Scotland}

    So misguided that we believe Scotland was ever invaded? Nah, nobody could be that stupid and misguided :rolleyes:

    And Scotland doesn't need to become a worthwhile country, it already is one. Scotland produces a higher rate of geniuses in the population than any other country, barring one (Israel). You wouldn't be having this debate if it wasn't for John Logie Baird or Alexander Graham Bell.

    Good. Well done. Shutting up when you are clearly out-argued is a wise choice. {pats Shane_Filan on the head}

When you say your fae Scotland or Ireland they welcome you and pour out beers on the house. If your an 'oh, I'm English', its rarer to get the good treatemnt.

    thats just made up, silly billy - english people are well respected - ive never experienced what you have

    its one thing arguing with fact, as you have done - and making things up like that
    Shane its just my experience but the rest of the English guys and gals on this form are taking this all with good will. I recommend using your summer to get caught up on the nation. Read a newspaper!
