I'm too old and different (expelled at 15!) to you all to be compared here. I always got the top available grade in any exam I took, but A*s hadn't been invented back in the early 90s when I took what GCSEs I took (except one A* in 2002)...
Do you all think that the introduction of A*s was for anything other than to artificially bump up the number of stupid people who can say they got some A-Cs (as the old D is now a C)?
PS Yes, I do have a fetish for the verb "to take" (looking at my second sentence!)
