seriuosly, what grades did you get?
Reply 3
I am can't remember how you work it out, but I got 5 C's, and 3 D's.
Hmm well in my Standard Grades (Scot. equivalent of GCSEs) I got 8 1s, the highest grade, so I will say my average was 8.

But since it's 'what was your points ...' it could just be short for 'what was your points average'. Could give the benefit of the doubt here.

7.0 The two Bs cancelled out the two A*s thus A was the average.

Same here, so also an 8.
I'm too old and different (expelled at 15!) to you all to be compared here. I always got the top available grade in any exam I took, but A*s hadn't been invented back in the early 90s when I took what GCSEs I took (except one A* in 2002)...

Do you all think that the introduction of A*s was for anything other than to artificially bump up the number of stupid people who can say they got some A-Cs (as the old D is now a C)?

PS Yes, I do have a fetish for the verb "to take" (looking at my second sentence!)

7.8 (10 A*s, As).

Seems every time I come on this site I feel thicker and thicker :frown:

How is that thick? They're excellent results (bear in mind sausage and I are bumping up the 8s with our Scottish ones)

Erm, just seems everyone round here is perfect  and I'm somewhat flawed.
