    Hi everyone,

I'm hoping to apply for the PGCE (Primary) this year for course start 2017. I'm looking for opinions regarding my likelihood of acceptance so that I can change my expectations accordingly haha!

I have an ordinary degree in Psychology from UWS. I graduated in 2014, and have spent the last two years working full time due to family circumstance. I've got Higher English grade B and Credit Mathematics grade 2.

I've recently arranged volunteering with a local primary school, so at the time of application I will have had 5 months of experience in a classroom environment, once a week for the full day. I'll be spending time with all of the class age groups in order to get a feel for working with kids of all ages. I'm registered with a tutoring service and when the schools go back I will be matched with a primary school pupil who requires additional support and will do this once weekly for a couple of hours.
I have also arranged through a work scheme to visit primary schools in the area to deliver financial workshops to primary school classes as a fun way to focus on numeracy!

All going well, I will have a fair amount of experience within a classroom environment which I hope will convey my determination to gain entry and succeed within the course, however I am mindful that I will have stiff competition and my grades are entry level.

Do I stand a decent chance of getting an interview at least?

Thanks so much for any answers in advance!!
