So, basically i bought my Samsung s4 from my local merchandiser about 5 days ago and on the 4th day my phone froze on the lock screen and i am facing the same problem now. Apparently the screen is broken and needs to be replaced, however, there are no cracks/scratches on it since i have a glass screen protector on it. Also, my sim card bit is apparently damadged too since i inserted the sim card the wrong way and now it can't come out.

I am just wondering if this issue goes under the Samsungs warranty.?

My Samsung warranty end by the end of this month

If the phone is faulty, you should be able to get a replacement. Pop into the shop and ask. Did they not give you a paper copy of what's covered?

Is this not completely identical to what you asked the other day? The advice from the other thread is perfectly appropriate here but I'll reiterate it again.

You need to go to a Samsung store and ask if your phone is covered by warranty. Nobody except Samsung can tell you for sure if they'll repair it under warranty or if you'll need to pay.

Warranty generally covers accidental damage, theft, etc. You inserting the SIM card the wrong way is not accidental damage. It might not have been intentional but you didn't follow the instructions. Since it's ultimately your fault you probably won't get it covered.

IIRC you already established that it was going to cost you £200 to get Samsung to repair it. If they're giving you a figure price it's not likely to be covered by warranty. But unless you ask them you won't know for sure.

This really didn't need another thread since you asked the same basic questions before and I'm just repeating information. Go to Samsung, ask them and deal with whatever they say.

Ah my bad there. I'd seen 3 copies of the thread but didn't check the dates.

Rather than reposting the thread though just bump the older threads and edit if necessary. No sense cluttering things up with 3 threads.
