    Hey, I'm in 5th year and got my higher results today, I failed nat 5 maths which I was expecting but is it possible to get into uni without it?

    I think English and Maths are core subjects that you must pass at least at national 5 level.

    I highly recommend resitting it as it will open up options for uni.

    Depends what you want to do.
    You deffo need it for teaching and science subjects.
    But you probs should retake it

    I had to go back and get my Nat5 Maths as I wanted to go into teaching. I was accepted for both Primary and Secondary but both required a B in Nat5 Maths. As you know, the exam this year was horrible. I was predicted and A but missed it by 3 marks, but happy I got my B!

    I would certainly look to do it again this year if you can as it really would help. Otherwise it is down to the courses you're looking at.
