Hi, I was wondering what everyone's interests are and how have you chosen the degree that is right for you?
I'm struggling to choose a degree at uni?
How has everyone chosen a degree (was it down to interests or what they want to do as a career)

Perhaps you would benefit from maybe seeing a list of subjects, and any you like the sound of, do some further research into and see what it involves, go to lectures on the subject etc.

In truth I'm just trying to 'follow the money' through a job that is actually interesting (such a job is fiercely competitive to get into.. ) so I did some digging around and found something that I like the sound of and it is now my career path.

There's an old saying that goes something like "If you do what you love, you'll never work a day in your life". I would suggest looking at what your hobbies or interests are and seeing which subjects allow you to explore this. I was lucky that my interests aligned with my degree and I would strongly argue that it helped me graduate with a great mark. You could also try out some career and personality tests online to see what comes up.
