I've recently just finished doing my NCS programme and I loved it. I've made so many new friends.
Because I loved it so much I was told by my senior mentor that I should apply to become a mentor as I was really outgoing, friendly, confident and so down to earth.
My question is because I'm only 16 (17 on October 17th) would I be able to apply and would I be successful since I'm a bit younger than all the other mentors. (the youngest mentor was 18) whilst doing the programme I always wanted to be a mentor and my senior mentor said it is lots of fun.
Should I apply now or should I wait to apply when I'm 18.

Apply now, if they see you are too young, ask if you can defer your employment till you are 18. It's unlikely they will wait that long but hey, you have nothing to lose by trying.

Apply. When I worked for NCS there were people who had just graduated from the program. They were volunteers so not a team leader/mentor but tbf did pretty much the same job, just none of the paperwork that went with it.
