Who are trans people looking for in a relationship?
I have met one that has boobs, looks more or less like a girl but says they want to keep the penis. Are there people into that? Would be a small subset of the population, no? Lowers your chances of finding mates.

Yes there are. No-one is attractive relationship material to everyone, but people who are happy with their body as it currently is tend to be more desirable...
