I was wondering if anyone has any experience with the MSc programs at LSE's European institute, specifically the MSc Political Economy of Europe (which I have received an offer for)? Looking at the list of courses, it seems to focus more on policy and less on quantitative economics (I may be wrong on this, however). I studied political economy for my undergraduate degree in the US, and that involved significant work in economic theory and econometrics in addition to policy-driven courses. As I am looking more towards careers in finance/banking or consulting rather than the public sector, would the MSc political economy of Europe perhaps be too policy-oriented for my career goals? Or does the actual content of the course not make a significant difference given LSE's reputation in those sectors?
