So today I went onto my student finance to check if I had received any further updates. Now it says I'm entitled to £5,300 in maintenance loans. My household income currently is under £25,000 which essentially (according to UCAS) means I am entitled to £8,000.
As I'm living in London and attending Uni there, I feel like I am REALLY going to struggle on £5,000. I'm starting to panic a little bit as I was planning on trying to get accommodation sorted ASAP as it's not long now.
Does anyone know what I can do about the maintenance loan? I am planning on getting a part-time job whilst in London but that could be a while after moving there.

    Thanks Mike

£5330 is the non income assessed maintenance loan.

Have the people contributing to the 'under £25,000' household income been contacted for their financial information? Have you given their details?

Log back into your SF account and check the application. You might have accidentally ticked the box saying you don't want the financial assessment. Either that or they're still working through the application. £5330 is the minimum every London student gets in maintenance. Don't worry, you'll get the rest (total £10k+) if household income is under £25k. You just need to check the application, or give them a call so an advisor can check it for you
