Has anybody done a research placement or are you in the process of doing it?

I am starting my report now, but I have no clue as to where to begin.

I am coding behaviour as part of an ongoing study and I don't know what I should talk about in the results section, as the researchers are not even close to analysing their results. Also, do you need to have some sort of logbook, even if you're not doing the gold CREST award?

When doing the abstract and intro etc. do you talk about the research that the researchers are doing? Or do you talk about your own specific input only?

That is a decent guide for most placements.

Thanks for the link, however it does not answer my question. I was wondering if any other students worked on an ongoing study which does not have any clear results yet.

I have just completed my report today. I followed the report structure that was put in the induction pack for the West Midlands area. That structure was:
    Title page
    Contents page
    Method & materials
    Discussion of results
Criticisms & scope for further research

Sorry if this info is a bit too late but thought I'd try to help out!
