Feeling sick when I like someone.

I've decided to post this thread in order to find out if this is normal around other people. Right, well the thing is, whenever I take a liking to someone and vice versa I always get this awful, sickening stomach pain and I don't feel like eating. I've never had a 'real' boyfriend as such, I've just been close to the guys I've liked. This might just be a feeling of nerves but it is really very irritating, I'm afraid that if I went to dinner with someone I liked, I wouldn't eat anything, appearing rather strange.
Could this just be a case of literal love sickness or something more?

It could be butterflies in your stomach. I used to get this tingly feeling in my stomach when I thought about someone I liked. I surpose maybe it will go when you get more comfortable with the person, so I recon it is just nerves.

When me and my current bf were sort of "seeing" each other, i used to get butterflies when he rang or i knew i was going to meet him. I did feel a bit sick but i dont think to the extent that you've explained, i think it was a mixture of excitement and nervousness :smile:

I didnt find it to be a bad thing though, it's all the fun parts of liking someone, getting that adrenaline rush etc.

i used to feel this way too around someone i didnt no very well, but who kept turning up and taking me to parties or shopping. i wasnt seeing him as such but it was kind of like a friendship but both of us where soo nervous that nothing happened and it ended badly. i regret it now.

I used to get that everyday for 5 months when i was with my ex. I thought it was because everything he did excited me and i loved being around him. I still get it when I see him now. It's just part of being attracted to someone you really like/love.

also, my ex used to say when we were going out that he'd be really hungry and cook himself a huge meal then he'd think about me and wouldn't be able to eat a bite! so i guess it happens to everyone!
