There is a guy I have met through a walking/social group. I know he has tried to look at my profile a few times and I have found we have a lot in common. When we have met before he will smile or has waved at me, we have not really spoke.

What I find strange is he comes across as outgoing and chatty but when I go in proximity of him he comes across as quiet. He had a few women around him last night who were clearly interested in him. One of the women told me to join them and when I did he smiled at me and I smiled back. I found the women were quite *****y and purposely excluding me so I made my excuses and spoke to some other people. I have a chance to see him at a meal on the weekend. Is he interested in me? I don't know how to break the ice with him.
