Has anyone used a tutor's help before with a subject? Because I'm 20 years old and would be 21 by the time I apply for uni, so I would be considered a mature student. Since I'm doing distance learning is a lot harder to learn and understand things, especially when the tutors assigned to you may respond 2-3 days once a message is sent. I've been considering to hire a tutor, since other adult responsiblities and work makes learning hard to fit in everyday life. If you used a tutor's service before, did your understanding of the subject and grade improved?

    thanks

Nah. However my mum failed maths at O level first time and with a tutor ended up getting an A, and my sister was failing maths at GCSE and with a tutor ending up getting a B. So I have some evidence as to their efficacy.

That's good to hear. I'm trying to do A-level Chemistry, Maths and Physics. The jump from GCSE to AS is big to me.
